Mr. Komar was appointed Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors in January 2017. He has been a director since 1997 and became Chairman of the Board in 2001. Mr. Komar served as chief executive officer from 2001 through 2016. Mr. Komar is a seasoned executive with over 40 years of senior management experience. From 2000 until 2001, Mr. Komar served as a founding partner of C-III Holdings, a development stage financial services company. From 1991 to June 2000, he was group executive vice president of Fiserv, Inc., a company that provides advanced data processing services and related products to the financial industry. From 1980 to 1991, Mr. Komar served in a number of financial management positions with CitiGroup, including the role of chief financial officer of Diners Club International and Citicorp Information Resources, respectively. Mr. Komar is a graduate of the City University of New York with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and holds a Masters Degree in Finance from Pace University.
Mr. Nyweide was appointed Chief Executive Officer and President of the Company and joined its Board of Directors in January 2017. Prior to joining WidePoint Mr. Nyweide provided strategic and business operations consulting services from 2013 until 2016. From 2005 through 2013, he served as Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President-Corporate Development, Treasurer and Secretary of GlobalOptions Group, Inc. Prior to that time, Mr. Nyweide had been Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President-Corporate Development of privately held GlobalOptions, Inc., since April 2003. Mr. Nyweide has been a Venture Partner with Millennium Technology Ventures, L.P., a New York-based venture capital firm, from 2001 until 2005. From 1987 to 2000, he co-founded and then grew Dataware Technologies, Inc., a software and services company, as Director, President and Chief Operating Officer, and took the company public. In 1995, he helped found Northern Light Technology LLC. Mr. Nyweide has significant experience in mergers and acquisitions, finance and operations, as well as with establishing international business in Europe and Asia from prior experience as a founder and managing director of Quantum Management in Greenwich, Connecticut and Munich, Germany. His previous experience in the services and solutions business also includes sales, marketing and operating experience as an executive with The Service Bureau Company, a subsidiary of Control Data Corporation, in Chicago, Atlanta and Greenwich. Mr. Nyweide is a graduate of the Northwestern University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics.
Mr. McCubbin has been with WidePoint since 1997. He has served as its executive vice president and chief financial officer since 2008 after he was promoted from vice president and chief financial officer for which he had served in that position since 1998. From 1997 to 1998, he served as vice president and controller. Mr. McCubbin has served as WidePoint’s secretary/treasurer since 1998 and served on its board of directors from 1998 thru June 2016. Mr. McCubbin has over 30+ years of financial and management experience. Prior to joining WidePoint he held various financial and management positions, gaining entrepreneurial and managerial experience, with several small to large organizations in diverse business areas including software, manufacturing, finance, and government contracting. Mr. McCubbin presently serves on the board of directors and acts as the financial expert on the audit committee for ProPhase Labs (Nasdaq – PRPH). Mr. Mccubbin had served as a director of Tianjin Pharmaceutical Company (NYSE Mkt: TPI) and was its chairman of its audit, nominating, and compensation committees through April 2012. Mr. McCubbin provides consulting services and has served on or assisted various boards of directors or management teams over the past decade with a strong knowledge base in corporate small cap matters. Mr. McCubbin is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and a Master’s Degree in International Management.
Mr. Kang is the founder of WidePoint subsidiary WidePoint Integrated Solutions Corp. (formerly known as iSYS LLC), which he started in 1999 and served as its president and CEO. He successfully managed the subsidiary from its inception to a company with gross revenues of $24M in 2008 when it was acquired by WidePoint. Mr. Kang has over 20 years of professional experience in corporate management, technology management, business development, and financial management in the field of Information Technology. He has held senior management positions with several of the nation’s leading corporations that specialize in providing information and telecommunications management services to the federal government. Mr. Kang has served as Division Manager and Engineering Manager for SAIC and Northrop Grumman respectively. He has held key leadership positions on high profile government programs such as Combined DNA Index System (CODIS), Defense Medical Information Systems/Systems Integration, Design Development, Operations and Maintenance Services (D/SIDDOMS), and the Defense Blood Standard System (DBSS). He has a successful operations track record and proven ability to drive growth and maximize profitability of an organization. Mr. Kang received Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Science and Computer Systems Management from the University of Maryland.
Mr. Holloway has been in the IT industry for more than 25 years, holding senior executive positions in multiple IT organizations, with a primary focus on business development, sales, and management to profitability. Mr. Holloway has industry vertical experience in Government, Technology, Finance, Transportation, Health Care, Entertainment, and Manufacturing. Mr. Holloway co-founded Nexcentri, an IT provider for the Credit Union industry, in 2001 and served as president and CEO until 2013. At Nexcentri, working with key vendor partners including Microsoft, First Data, and HP, he developed and implemented three successful financial services software products and was recognized as the first Credit Union service organization to successfully conduct business internationally. Prior to Nexcentri, he was president and CEO of Networked Knowledge Systems (NKS), a global Linux security managed service company where he increased annual revenue more than 800% in five years, servicing clients such as IBM and PwC, and making NKS an Open Source Managed Security industry leader. In addition, Mr. Holloway has held several key executive roles within technology start-up companies that were being positioned for IPO.
In addition to serving as WidePoint’s CSO, Ms. Finnance leads WidePoint’s Cybersecurity practice as Chief Executive Officer of WidePoint Cybersecurity Solutions Corporation (formerly known as Operational Research Consultants Inc. (ORC)), a wholly-owned subsidiary of WidePoint. Ms. Finnance has 30 years of experience leading technology organizations in applying systems engineering to the successful development and delivery of high technology systems and services for the federal government. With expertise in information security methodologies, Ms. Finnance has been responsible for all aspects of organizational management from strategic planning to operational execution of managed security services. She had led software and systems engineering teams in delivering DoD’s Public Key Infrastructure, the US Navy’s H-60 Airborne Low Frequency Sonar and the H-60 Hellfire Missile deployment, receiving the David Packard Award for Acquisition Excellence. Ms. Finnance also held acquisition management positions at CACI for the US Navy’s Vertical Launch System and research testing and validation of the US Army’s Computerized Adaptive Testing system. Ms. Finnance received a Bachelor of Science degree from George Mason University and earned a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from George Washington University.
