This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on WidePoint’s applications including ITMS, iCIRT, Clarity, and Foresight, and includes areas of the application where you register for services, submit helpdesk tickets and other requests in connection with your company’s master services agreement and statement of work with WidePoint as well as information collected automatically by cookies, if enabled.
ACCESS TO OUR WEBSITE
You are not permitted to access or browse the WidePoint secure websites (these websites are not available to the general public or searchable on the worldwide internet) until you have been granted access by your authorized company representative and you have completed the required user registration process. Transactions processed on your company’s branded website are conducted using a secure connection. Once you submit information to us to participate in your company’s program you are no longer anonymous.
Any personal information that you choose to give to us will be transferred and stored on secure local servers in a safe, confidential and secure environment.
We do not store credit card information or other protected personal information. Accordingly, once the transaction is processed that information is automatically erased and no longer available.
TYPES OF INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect the following information to establish a user account and for processing product and service transactions:
Your company name
Your employee identification number
Your legal name
Your e-mail address
Your phone (or mobile) number
THE WAY WE USE INFORMATION
Product and Service Fulfillment
Fulfill and manage purchases, orders, payments, returns/exchanges, or requests for information, or to otherwise serve you as covered under our Master Services Agreement (MSA) and current authorized Statement of Work (SOW) with your company.
Improve the effectiveness of our product and service offerings under your company’s program.
Conduct research and analysis, including focus groups and surveys.
Perform other business activities as needed, or as described elsewhere in this policy.
To prevent fraudulent transactions, monitor against theft and otherwise protect our guests and our business.
To assist law enforcement and respond to subpoenas issued by a recognized U.S. court.
HOW INFORMATION IS SHARED
We may share information we collect about you to ensure that the products and services requested are authorized under your company’s MSA and SOW. As part of our agreement with your company, there may be certain information accessible by your company to ensure your eligibility to participate in approved product and service programs offered through our website.
We may share information with our third party credit card processor to facilitate processing and collection of fees owed for products and services purchased through our website using a secure connection with our processor. Our third party processor may require certain personal identifying information about you in order to perform their payment processing functions, but they are not authorized to use the information we share with them for any other purpose. We do not retain information utilized by our third party processor to process electronic payments.
We do not collect or share information with other vendors, business partners and other organizations that are not part of the WidePoint family.
We may disclose information you provide to us when we believe disclosure is appropriate to comply with the law; to enforce or apply applicable terms and conditions and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property or safety of our company, our guests or others.
If some or all of our business assets are sold or transferred, we generally would transfer the corresponding information regarding our customers under a non-disclosure agreement and require the purchaser to execute and deliver to your company a notice of assignment.
Product and Service Program Offering Improvements
We use the information you give us as a research tool to assist your company and us to develop more appropriate content for your program, to improve the content of the WidePoint program offerings, to improve our understanding of our visitors and to determine better ways to serve you. We may use the information to provide you with details of our services and for this reason each screen that asks for data gives you the opportunity to opt out of receiving such information.
We use return e-mail addresses to answer e-mails we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.
Whenever we sub-contract other organizations to provide support services, we require them to conform to our privacy standards and to allow us to audit them for compliance. We utilize a worldwide third party credit card processor to handle electronic commerce transactions using a secure connection and authentication procedure. We will not send your data to third parties unless our master services agreement with your company permits disclosure of such information and we will not send data to areas where an adequate data protection policy is not in place even when such disclosure is permitted.
If you disclose personal information publicly, including your email address, it can be collected and used by others which may result in unsolicited messages from other parties. WidePoint cannot guarantee the security of your information although all reasonable measures will be taken to stop this falling into the wrong hands. The user or subscriber is responsible for the secrecy of your password(s) and/or any account information
Some sections of WidePoint website use temporary cookies during the order placement and transaction process that are erased once the transaction has been executed.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small, text-only strings of data which store information on the hard drive of your local computer or mobile device when you visit some websites. When you visit our website, if your browser is using the standard settings and it is accepting cookies, you are giving consent for cookies on our website to be stored on your computer. If you do not wish for this to happen, you can disable them in the settings of your browser.

Our website works more efficiently if receipt of cookies is enabled, but it will still operate correctly if you disable cookies, although some extra enhanced features provided for you will not work. (For example the website will show you the last 4 pages you have visited on the site, but it cannot do this without setting a cookie.)
How long do cookies last?
Cookies last for different lengths of time depending on what they are used for.
Session cookies are temporary cookies and are only stored until you leave the website or when you close your web browser. We do use session cookies in our transaction processing.
Persistent cookies last for a fixed period of time, defined within the cookie, and allow the website to recognize the device again when the user returns to that website on that device. We do not use persistent cookies in our transaction processing.

If you have created an authorized user account, you can log in and update your account information, including contact, billing, and shipping information.
Contact your designated helpdesk with your current contact information and the information you would like to access. (Please be advised that there may be an additional charge for helpdesk support services that may not be covered by your company’s MSA and SOW. Please consult with your program administrator for additional details.)
We will provide you the information requested if reasonably available, or will describe the types of information we typically collect.
