In this role, the WidePoint Federal Security Sales Consultant will work directly with Strategic Partners and directly with Federal Government clients to uncover, direct, drive and close strategic security and telecommunications sales. The Federal Security Sales Consultant is required to orchestrate between multiple departments to ensure a total solution is brought to a customer. The Federal Sales Consultant must operate with limited supervision and is required to take a leadership role to drive new business revenue on behalf WidePoint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures that the monthly / quarterly / annual sales plans for the WidePoint product portfolio are met or exceeded
  • Drive activity within accounts to ensure that projected new sales are forecasted to establish a solid funnel per corporate standards, and display the ability to forecast sales at a plus or minus 10% accuracy rate
  • Must work with partners and internal resources to align customer’s business issues and business objectives with WidePoint Solutions
  • Work with organizations within WidePoint and 3rd Party Partners to develop a solutions to meet the desired end to end customer solution
  • The proven ability to engage at executive levels within each account to clearly articulate the WidePoint value proposition is required
  • Creative thought on driving new revenue for the branches supported is required
  • Required to work with legal to guide the recommended solutions through contract negotiations in the interest of closing new business
  • Develop customer ready presentations and proposals with the help of the required support teams
  • Provide various levels of reports for top opportunities, weekly progress reports, director updates, account review documentation, as well as any ad hoc report requests generated by management

Required Skills & Experience

Generally requires a BS Degree and 9 years of experience in a Security Solutions Sales role, preferably with experience with selling cybersecurity, identity, mobile telecommunications, and technology-based consulting solutions to Federal clients:

  • Must have a broad understanding of customer’s environments and be able to intelligently and strategically discuss WidePoint security solutions/service delivery capabilities as they relate to WidePoint services and client needs
  • Previous experience in a sales role as a quota bearing sales professional. The candidate must be able to successfully navigate a sale by establishing themselves as a high value Subject Matter Expert capable of managing a complex sales process;
  • Must have skills and knowledge to allow for successful prioritization of multiple projects and the ability to clearly communicate project requirements/timelines
  • Individual will possess strong written and oral skills and demonstrated ability to work in complex sales environments, utilizing resources across multiple organizations to achieve sales results
  • Must be able to travel 25% -35%
  • Must be a US citizen

Desired Skills & Experience

  • BS required; MBA or MBA candidate preferred
  • Experience working large complex internal organizations
  • Highly collaborative personality capable of working in and leading teams
  • Understanding of Federal cybersecurity requirements and mandates

Federal Sales Engineer

In this role, the WidePoint Federal Security Sales Engineering Consultant will work directly with Federal Security Sales Consultant and Strategic Partners and directly with Federal Government clients to uncover, direct, drive and close strategic security and telecommunications sales. The Federal Security Sales Engineering Consultant is required to orchestrate between multiple departments to ensure a total solution is brought to a customer. The Federal Sales Engineering Consultant must operate with limited supervision with the Federal Security Sales Consultant and is required to support the Federal Security Sales Consultant to drive new business revenue on behalf WidePoint .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that the technical capabilities of WidePoint solutions meet the requirements of the Strategic Partners and Federal customer
  • Writing technical proposals and white papers that meet technical requirements of the Strategic Partners and Federal customer
  • Interfacing with WidePoint operations teams: a) to provide product recommendations; b) to ensure that WidePoint meets security and operational requirements; c) to understand the capabilities and potential limitations of WidePoint offerings, and modify our approach to emphasize WidePoint’s competitive differentiators.

  • Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to architect networking and security environments to include mobile devices and identity solutions
  • Must have a broad understanding of customer’s environments and be able to intelligently and strategically discuss WidePoint security solutions/service delivery capabilities as they relate to WidePoint services and client needs
  • Previous experience in a sales role as a quota bearing sales professional. The candidate must be able to successfully navigate a sale by establishing themselves as a high value Subject Matter Expert capable of managing a complex sales process;
  • Must have skills and knowledge to allow for successful prioritization of multiple projects and the ability to clearly communicate project requirements/timelines
  • Individual will possess strong written and oral skills and demonstrated ability to work in complex sales environments, utilizing resources across multiple organizations to achieve sales results
