The Senior Web Developer combines a blend of hands on experience, ability to handle multiple projects, and a proven track record delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, changing environment. Position requires excellent communication and problem solving skills.
Primarily responsible for the design, development, and support of Web-based and Windows-based applications in a 24x7 Web-based financial services environment.
Experience:
Experienced web developer with a proven track record designing, developing, coding, testing, implementing and supporting mission critical, 24x7 software applications. Requires excellent problem solving skills and the ability to quickly learn and comprehend new areas of expertise. Demonstrated ability to communicate with internal customers to best understand the business needs driving software development. Ability to translate business needs and requirements into workable technical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3-7 years web development experience
- Strong oral and written communications skills. Strong skills explaining, describing and portraying technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to quickly learn and comprehend new areas of expertise.
- Demonstrated expertise in multiple Internet, server, and desktop technologies including but not limited to the following: C#.NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server 2005, Visual Basic 6.0, Visual Basic.NET, ASP, ADO, ADO.NET, SQL Server 2000, IIS, COM+, HTML, Visual SourceSafe, Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Word.
- Experience building and supporting mission critical, 24x7 publicly-facing Web applications
- Experience designing, building and supporting multi-layered enterprise web applications.
Education or Training:
- Bachelor**s (BA/BS) degree from a four-year college or university and a minimum of 3 years work experience.
